ErratumAfter examination of the female genitalia, it became clear that Chlaenius (Trichochlaenius) shimbarensis Eshraghi Mofrad & Muilwijk, 2025 is an Anchomenus s.str. Bonelli, 1810. The following synonymy is proposed: Chlaenius (Trichochlaenius) shimbarensis (Eshraghi Mofrad & Muilwijk, 2025) syn. nov. = Anchomenus (Anchomenus) virescens (Motschulsky, 1865). Therefore, this species is recorded from Iran for the first time. The Anchomenus clade has been thoroughly revised by the work of Liebherr (1991). All species in this group possess a spermatheca that is joined to the bursa copulatrix and median oviduct by a short duct, and which has an apical filament. The spermathecal gland empties into the basal reservoir of the spermatheca. Only additional information is provided in the description here, the original description can be found in Eshraghi Mofrad et al., (2025).
