Four species of micromolluscs are described (one in open nomenclature) that have very different shapes, but all have a similar planispiral protoconchs and disjoint, weakly-coiled teleoconchs. The final whorl of the teleoconch gives each taxon a very different appearance: highly elevated or compressed spire, straightened or strongly coiled ultimate whorl. All four are assigned to a single genus, herein described as Solutaspira gen. nov. The shape and placement of the protoconch strongly suggest the genus belongs within the Murchisonelloidea. Thus far no living specimens have been found, therefore molecular or morphological studies of the soft parts have not been done.
