A new species, Kawamuracarus goldschmidti sp. nov. collected from the interstitial waters of a brook inHainan, represents the newly recorded subfamily Kawamuracarinae Viets, 1943 in China. The new speciesexhibits unique morphological characters, including (1) three pairs of acetabula, (2) dorsum withoutanterior plate(s), (3) postocularia located between dorsoglandularia 1, and (4) one of the tubercles of p-4much longer than the other tubercles. In addition, some characteristic photos of K. similis Cook, 1967 andK. uniscutatus Cook, 1967 have been supplemented.
