Adults of two species, Piona extendens Li & Smit sp. nov. and P. alpicola (Neuman, 1880), from YunnanProvince and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, respectively, are described in detail. Each subtlestructures having significant taxonomic means are recorded with scanning electron micrographs. Inaddition, deutonymphs of P. extendens sp. nov. and P. alpicola are also described. P. alpicola is recordedfor the first time from China. Therefore, the number of Chinese Piona species have increased to 17.
