Dr. P. S. Ashton of Kuching went on leave at the end of September 1965, to return mid-1966. In Europe he hopes to consult some Herbaria for type materials of Dipterocarpaceae. Mr. M. M. J. van Balgooy of the Rijksherbarium travelled in New Guinea, Australia, Lord Howe Island, and Java, from 30 March to 14 August 1965.
