In my paper ‘Rediscovery of Thismia clavigera (Becc.) F. v. M. (Burmanniaceae)’ in Blumea 26 (1980) three combinations made by F. J. H. von Mueller in the genus Thismia were mentioned, viz. T. clandestina (Bl.) F. v. M., T. clavigera (Becc.) F. v. M., and T. episcopalis (Becc.) F. v. M. These combinations were overlooked inadvertently in the compilation of T. B. Muir (1979), ‘An index to the new taxa, new combinations, and new names published by Ferdinand J. H. Mueller’ in Muelleria 4 (2): 123-168. The bibliographic citations for these three combinations have been corrected, thanks to a letter from Mrs. D. Sinkora of the Royal Botanic Gardens and National Herbarium of Victoria, Australia, and are given here: Thismia clandestina (Blume) F. v. Muell., Pap. & Proc. Roy. Soc. Tasmania, 1890: 235. (1891). Thismia clavigera (Beccari) F. v. Muell., Pap. & Proc. Roy. Soc. Tasmania, 1890: 235. (1891). Thismia episcopalis (Beccari) F. v. Muell., Pap. & Proc. Roy. Soc. Tasmania, 1890: 235. (1891). Additionally it should be noted that the citation of Victorian Naturalist (Vict. Nat.) vol. 6, should be omitted. The reference should have been to the Papers & Proceedings of the Royal Society of Tasmania. Although dated 1890, the volume was actually published in 1891. All three combinations, therefore, were made in the same publication in the same year.
