The Astronieae (Melastomataceae) occur in Southeast Asia and include Astrocalyx Merr., Astronia Blume, Astronidium A. Gray, and Beccarianthus Cogn. Astrocalyx has 1 species, Astronia has 2 sections (1 new) with 59 species (28 new, 7 new varieties, 5 as new combinations, 1 new name).
