Dr. Leuthner in his Monograph of the Odontolabini, describing the mandibles of Hope, indicates the forma teledonta and priodonta of that species to be still unknown. In as much it concerns the forma priodonta this statement is rather strange, as the collection of the Royal Zoological Society »Natura Artis Magistra” at Amsterdam, which has been studied by Dr. Leuthner, contained two males belonging to the priodont form. One of these males has passed some years ago into my own cabinet, and that specimen is still provided with Leuthner’s well-known label, bearing his name in print on one side and the name »
