Agreeing with P. semitigrinus Rits. (Notes Leyd. Mus. Vol. VII, p. 43, pl. 3, fig. 3) but easily recognizable by two very obvious differences. In the new species the elytra are very distinctly speckled with white, about as in P. alcanor Newm.; in semitigrinus, however, they are indistinctly speckled with greyish.
