Studies on the Fauna of Suriname and other Guyanas , Volume 12 - Issue 1 p. 139- 151
This study is based on material collected by Dr. P. H. van Doesburg Jr. in Suriname and by other workers during investigations sponsored by the “Max-Planck-Institut fur Limnologie, Abt. Tropenokologie” at Plön, director Prof. Dr. H. Sioli; the “Institute Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazonia” at Manaus and Brasilia, director Prof. Dr. D. Batista. Additional material by an unknown collector from Peru as well as specimens from the Caribbean region collected by Dr. P. Wagenaar Hummelinck (Utrecht) are included in this synopsis. Specimens have been deposited in: The Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie at Leiden (L), the collection of the I.N.P.A. at Manaus (A), the collection of the Koninklijk Belgisch Instituut voor Natuurwetenschappen at Brussels (B) and the Zoologisch Laboratorium at Utrecht (U).
