21. Our Palaeontological Knowledge of the Netherlands West-Indies in 1930

The number of fossils that have been described from the Netherlands Territory in America is not very large. The descriptions are, however, scattered over a rather large number of publications, many of which will be found only incidentally by a reader who occupies himself intensely with the geological literature on the Antilles. It has therefore seemed to me to be a useful work to gather the data on these fossils as completely as possible, and the making of this catalogue has been especially agreeable to me, as a very large part of the fossils under discussion have been collected by Prof. Martin, in whose honour this book is edited. Some remarks may precede the catalogue.
