Description of Tipula schulteni nov. spec, from Malawi and Zimbabwe. This species is clearly sisterspecies of loveridgei Alexander and for this reason it belongs to the zambesiensis-group sensu Alexander, 1920, one of the afrotropical species-groups placed by Alexander in the heterogeneous subgenus Acutipula. Possibly however a subgroup of the ding zambesiensis-group, incluloveridgei and schulteni, is sistergroup of the oleracea-group, now forming the subgenus Tipula. Investigations have started about the relations between the species-groups in Tipula and Acutipula.
