Lectotypes of Polistes snelleni de Saussure, 1862, P. malayanus Cameron, 1906, P. melanopterus Cameron, 1911, P. javanicus Cameron, 1905, Icaria capensis de Saussure, 1862, 7. plebeja de Saussure, 1862, Stenogater micans de Saussure, 1852, and Ischnogaster foveatus du Buysson, 1907, are designated.
