Ergänzungen zur Staphylinidenfauna der Niederlande 1 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae)

Additions to the Staphylinidae fauna of the Netherlands 1 From a total of over 14.000 Staphylinidae, collected in The Netherlands and belonging to the Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum at Leiden, the more interesting species were selected for further faunistic study. These species were, according to the last available comprehensive data (Everts, 1922a) either known as rare, non-indigenous or, in one case, as common. This selection was completed by data from other museums, private collections and literature in which way an upto-date review of the occurrence and distribution of these Staphylinidae can be presented. As the data extend over a period of a century, where possible, an attempt has been made to assess changes in the faunistic status. Two species are new for the Dutch fauna. Tachyporus pulchellus (Mannerheim) was found near Maastricht in 1950, Itteren in 1994 (both sites in the province of Limburg), Udenhout (province of Noord-Brabant) in 1993, Beekhuizen (province of Gelderland) in 1993 and Meerwijck (province of Groningen) where numerous specimens were caught in 1989 and 1990. One specimen of Tachyporus pallidus (Sharp) showed up in old material. It was caught in Rotterdam (province of Zuid-Holland) in 1894. Recent records of this species are from Voorburg (province of Zuid-Holland), 1962, Zuidlaren (province of Drenthe), 1989, Maartenszee and Zwanenwater (both province of Noord-Holland) in 1995. Aanvullingen voor de Staphylinidenfauna van Nederland 1 Van de in totaal meer dan 14.000 Staphylinidae, verzameld in Nederland en in het bezit van het Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum te Leiden werden de meer interessante soorten geselecteerd voor nadere, faunistische, bestudering. Deze soorten stonden volgens de laatste samenvattende gegevens (Everts, 1922a) bekend als zeldzaam, als niet-inlands of, in het geval van één soort, als gewoon. De gegevens zijn aangevuld met gegevens uit andere musea, particuliere collecties en opgaven in de literatuur, waardoor een actueel overzicht van het voorkomen en de verspreiding van deze Staphylinidae kan worden gegeven. Daar de gegevens zich uitstrekken over meer dan een eeuw, is een poging gedaan, de veranderingen die zich hebben voorgedaan, te evalueren. Twee soorten zijn nieuw voor de Nederlandse fauna. Tachyporus pulchellus (Mannerheim) is gevonden nabij Maastricht in 1950, Itteren in 1994 (beide vindplaatsen in de provincie Limburg), Udenhout (Noord-Brabant) in 1993, Beekhuizen (Gelderland) in 1993 en Meerwijck (Groningen) waar veel exemplaren werden verzameld in 1989 en 1990. Één exemplaar van Tachyporus pallidus (Sharp) bevond zich tussen oud materiaal. Dit exemplaar was verzameld te Rotterdam (Zuid-Holland) in 1894.
