The potter wasp Eumenes coronatus on the move (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) The first record of Eumenus coronatus in the Netherlands dates back from 1954. After that the species was not recorded until 1988. Since then many specimens were collected in the southern part of the country. In 2004 a female was caught near Arnhem in the central part of the Netherlands. Based on the observed northward expansion in Germany it is expected that Eumenes coronatus will push further northward in the future.
