Myopites apicates, a new fruitfly for the Netherlands (Diptera: Tephritidae) For some time a representative of the genus Myopites was expected to be found in the Netherlands, as three species were known to occur in the surrounding countries (M. tenellus, M. eximia, M. innulaedyssentericae). In 2003 Myopites apicatus Freidberg, 1980 was finally recorded. Surprisingly, this was not one of the aforementioned three species. In this paper a key to the four species known from northwestern Europe is presented.
